Manitowoc, Wisconsin- The Green Industry Hall of Fame inducted Kurt Dramm with A Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2023 ceremony. His name will now be listed in the Green Industry Hall of Fame.   (Pictured: Heidi Dramm Becker and Hans Dramm, Kurt Dramm's daughter and son) The Green Industry Hall of Fame's mission is to honor and preserve the contributions of those exceptional individuals who have served the Green Industry. Kurt Dramm and his brother John formed the Dramm Company in 1968 to produce garden and greenhouse watering products. Their mother, Perdita, had formally maintained the business, which operated out of her basement (when not working as a librarian). Following his brother's early death, Kurt grew the Dramm Corporation over the next 45 years into four segments: Commercial Greenhouse Equipment, Retail Gardening Products, Drammatic® Organic Fertilizer, and DRAMMwater for greenhouse water treatment systems. Kurt passed away on May 16, 2023. The 2023 Green Industry Hall of Fame Inductee Ceremony occurred on November 18, 2023, at the Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, California. Several of Kurt Dramm's family members were in attendance, including his children and some of his grandchildren. The entire Dramm family is humbled and honored for the distinction in his name. A special thank you to Martin Gottlieb for nominating Kurt Dramm. The ceremony will air on Nick Federoff's Things Green PBS|KLCS TV at 9 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 with a LIVE simulcast on Things Green Facebook and YouTube channels. | |
