November 14, 2006 – Drammatic® Gardens 4-4-1 (2.24% N from Sodium Nitrate) and Drammatic “ONE” Plant Food 4-4-0.5 (2.24% N from Sodium Nitrate) are now listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute for use in organic production and may bear the OMRI Listed® seal.

OMRI is an organization that reviews products for conformity with the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Organic Program standards.

Drammatic Gardens and Drammatic “ONE” have received OMRI’s “Restricted” status, which OMRI has defined as: “Restricted according to NOP Rule 205.602(g): Sodium nitrate may not account for more than 20% of the N applied to crops. The Organic System Plan must address its use.”

Dramm produces two other fertilizer blends that are already OMRI listed: Drammatic “O” Liquid Fish Plant Food 2-5-0.2 and Drammatic “L” Liquid Fish Plant Food 2-2-0.2.

Dramm Corporation, headquartered in Manitowoc, Wis., produces Drammatic fertilizer blends from fish scraps from the Great Lakes. The fish scraps are ground up, put through a cold process, filtered and bottled. This method allows the fertilizer to retain the natural oils, nutrients and minerals of the fish. Drammatic fertilizers can be used for conventional, sustainable and organic crop production. Each blend contains distinct inputs that can be beneficial to particular crops.
