Columbus, OH- The Dramm Corporation has Gardened for Smiles! During the month of May, Dramm initiated the second annual campaign supporting the Columbus-based surgical foundation, FREE TO SMILE. FREE TO SMILE is a non-profit organization based in Columbus, Ohio that works to provide free surgical repair of cleft lip and palate in children and adults in remote areas of the world where that level of care is not accessible. The $3,800 was raised from the May Gardening for Smiles initiative, when a portion of Dramms retail sale benefitted FREE TO SMILE. "FREE TO SMILE’s efforts are changing lives all around the world," said Heidi Dramm Becker, family owner of Dramm. "We are happy to give to an organization that does such direct good in the world. FREE TO SMILE brightens the world just as flowers brighten our communities." The money raised will provide 14 cleft lip surgeries. "This is fabulous!!!!" said Stacy Henry, co-founder of FREE TO SMILE. "14 surgeries you have made possible this year and just in time as we will head off to Guatemala over Labor Day." Max Dramm Becker knows first hand the good FREE TO SMILE accomplishes, as he was part of the 2013 Guatemala team. "The money we raised this year will help FREE TO SMILE to operate on almost half off the patients they treat during a trip," said Max. "It makes a big difference."
