Manitowoc, WI- In 1945, John Dramm invented the 400AL Waterbreaker, offering the horticultural industry a new way to water plants. Water has always been central to the products we offer to our customers.

Dramm is now pioneering new solutions to provide clean water and water management to the greenhouse industry.

As the world becomes smaller, clean water will become more scarce. Access to clean water is already becoming an issue to many of our customers. Reducing water usage,
recycling water run-off, storing water and treating water will all be necessary in the near future. Poor water quality is responsible for higher labor, product shrink, chemical costs
and missed ship dates. However, little expertise seems to exist to meet these challenges facing our industry.

Recognizing these issues, Dramm is forming a new division, DRAMMwater, to focus on providing solutions to the water management problems facing our industry.

Combining our expertise in irrigation systems and pest management with outside experience in engineering, systems design and water treatment, DRAMMwater will be the
first organization to focus on holistic water management.

To head our new division we have hired Al Zylstra. Al has a long history in the horticultural industry of helping growers with complex systems and improving efficiencies.

In addition, Dramm will be partnering with Charlie Hayes of Advanced Treatment Technologies. A Bio-Chemist with 23 years of experience designing and supplying systems to handle water quality issues in agriculture. The past 13 years, Charlie has focused on the successful application of ozone in water treatment. Charlie is responsible for the design and installation of over 800 operating systems throughout North America.

It is clear that the difference between a successful water treatment strategy and failure is in the design and expertise employed in the solution. Our partnership with Advanced
Treatment Technologies will solidify our ability to provide proven, complete and well engineered systems for water management.

DRAMMwater will supply scientific, engineering and design expertise along with suite of products aimed at solving common greenhouse water source problems. We will address water decontamination; high level filtration; removing biofilm in pipes and irrigation systems; reducing excessive levels of salts, iron and manganese, and algae; pond aeration; designing recirculation systems for water conservation; water storage and the pumping systems to support these systems.

The key suite of systems we are providing is:
• Fine filtration systems and custom filter media
• Water decontamination systems (ozone, slow-sand, UV)
• Membrane Filtration (Reverse Osmosis, Nano and Ultra Filtration)
• High Performance Pump Sets
• Pond/lagoon aeration systems
• Water Storage Tanks and liners
• Pond intake and discharge filters

Through our partnerships, we will provide access to a network of factory certified technicians across the US to provide service when needed.

DRAMMwater is a separate division of the Dramm Corporation and will not directly sell its
standard offering of commercial products. Our line of watering tools, irrigation systems,
chemical application systems, environmental controls and fertilizers will continue to be
offered by our network of distributors throughout the industry.
