Dramm's Response to Covid-19

Hello,

My guess is that there are very few people outside of Dramm facilities and our immediate business partners who are concerned about Dramm's Covid-19 policies and plans - let's face it, you have much greater concerns at present - but for those of you who are, we appreciate your interest and attention.

Dramm is continuing its operations, not as usual but continuing none the less. We are taking extra precautions and monitoring the status of our employees on a daily basis. Presently, we have not had to shift or alter our hours of operations or other daily logistics. Of course, each day brings new updates and events and our situation remains 'fluid' as it does everywhere.

Dramm maintains a long-term perspective, knowing activity and community engagement in America will bounce back at some point in the future. I want to assure our immediate distributor and dealer community customers that we are striving to and succeeding in fulfilling all orders on time. Additionally, I want to assure the consumer gardening community that we are supporting your local garden centers and hardware retailers to ensure our products will be available to you this spring and summer. It is important to take care in leaving your home and exposing yourself to the outside world, but it is also important to maintain leisurely and therapeutic aspects of normal life. Dramm wants to help you continue to find joy and fulfillment in your garden.

Now, I recommend you take a deep breath and look around the space where you may be reading this - reflect upon your life and your values. Remind yourself of the joy you find in your family, your pets, your community, and your home (as you're likely spending a disproportionate amount of time there currently). Then, once you have hugged (or at least smiled and spoken with) your loved ones and petted your furry family members, find a house or outdoor plant and reflect on it. They are simple parts of our lives but in times like these their value can shine through the negative haze coming from larger events in the world.

Finally, for those of you who are blood donors, I encourage you to donate today or as soon as you are again eligible. There are many new treatments that are being tested that may rely on blood supplies. In today's White House briefing, Vice Admiral Jerome Adams, MD stressed the safety features being implemented by the Red Cross and other approved donation centers. In his words, "social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement".

Take care, be well, continue to seek joy in the simple aspects of life.
